Eastbourne, East Sussex · BN20 – BN24, BN26 & BN27
We offer CCTV installation in Eastbourne for seafront hotels, care homes, converted villas in Meads and newer homes around Sovereign Harbour, together with door entry, access control and electric gates. Every system is planned on site and fitted by our engineers.
Eastbourne runs along the coast from the chalk cliffs at Beachy Head to the marina at Sovereign Harbour, with the South Downs rising behind it. In between are tall Victorian villas, seafront hotels, busy shopping streets, post-war estates and modern waterfront homes. Good CCTV installation in Eastbourne starts with working out which of these you own or run, because each one has different weak spots.
Regency Security has designed and fitted CCTV, door entry, access control and electric gates across Sussex since 1999. We begin with a free survey, follow it with an itemised written quote and carry out the work with our engineers.

Many of the large houses in Meads and Upperton, and plenty of former hotels near the seafront, are now divided into flats. Shared front doors, long communal hallways and bin stores are where trouble tends to start. We replace tired audio handsets with video door entry in Eastbourne blocks, so residents see who is calling before they press the release, and add Paxton fobs to main doors and side gates. A lost fob is deleted from the system in seconds.
Parts of Meads, the Old Town and the seafront sit within conservation areas. Where appearance matters, we pick compact cameras in colours that suit the render or stonework and route cables through voids and along existing lines.
Homes around the harbour basins and along the shingle towards Pevensey Bay take salt spray and strong Channel winds for much of the year. Budget cameras mist up, corrode and slowly drift out of position in those conditions, so here we fit weather-rated housings on corrosion-resistant brackets and seal every cable entry. Further inland, in Langney, Hampden Park and Roselands, the brief is usually simpler: a clear view of the drive, the front door and the side passage, plus a phone alert the moment a person comes up the path.
Visitors, retail and care keep Eastbourne busy, and each brings its own security questions. Hotels along Grand Parade and the rest of the front need to know who comes and goes once reception closes. Care homes must protect residents without the building feeling locked down. Shops on Terminus Road, the independents in Little Chelsea and trade counters along Lottbridge Drove all need footage that stands up when something goes wrong. Typical work includes:
On the northern edge of town, Ratton and Willingdon have larger detached homes set back from the road, and the same goes for many houses in Meads and the villages of East Dean and Friston. Electric gates in Eastbourne let you open up from the car and know the drive is shut again behind you. We automate new or existing gates, sliding or swing, on FAAC, CAME and BFT motors, often with a keypad or video intercom on the gate post. East Dean and Friston are inside the South Downs National Park, where the National Park Authority handles planning, so we check whether new gates or piers are likely to need consent before you commit. As a Gatesafe registered installer (#2187), we force test and commission every gate to BS EN 12453.

FAQs
Yes. We fit one entry panel at the main door and a video monitor or handset in each flat, so every resident can see a caller before releasing the door. The freeholder or residents' management company will normally need to approve the work, and we can give them a written specification and a plan of the cable routes before anything starts.
They will if they are chosen and fitted with the coast in mind. We use weather-rated cameras on corrosion-resistant brackets, seal every cable joint and set cameras under eaves or overhangs where we can. On exposed sites a yearly clean and check keeps the picture sharp, and we can carry that out for you.
Yes. We cover entrances, car parks and shared areas with cameras, and use Paxton fobs or keypads on staff-only doors, offices and medication stores. Residents' private rooms are a different matter, so it is worth reading the CQC's guidance on surveillance before deciding where cameras go. We will talk the layout through with you at the survey.
Yes. We fix brackets into the mortar joints rather than drilling the flints, keep the number of holes through the wall to a minimum and choose small cameras that sit neatly under the eaves. If the cottage is listed or in a conservation area, we will tell you at the survey whether consent may be needed.
Yes. Alongside the town itself we cover Polegate, Willingdon, Pevensey Bay, Westham, Stone Cross, East Dean, Friston and Hailsham. Call 01293 862865 or send the form and we will book a free survey at a time that suits you.
