Farnham, Surrey · GU9 & GU10
CCTV, door entry, access control and electric gates for Farnham's period town centre, its newer estates and the rural villages beyond. We cover nearby Camberley and Frimley too, with a free survey and our engineers.
Farnham packs a lot into a small area: Georgian streets below the castle, a lively mix of independent shops, an art university and miles of heath and farmland running south towards Frensham and Tilford. Good CCTV installation in Farnham means cameras that do their job without spoiling a historic frontage, and systems that reach properties where the nearest neighbour is a field away.
We have installed security systems across Surrey since 1999. Each project begins with a free site visit, and you get a written quote that lists every camera, reader and gate motor, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
Much of central Farnham is a conservation area, and Castle Street, West Street and The Borough are lined with listed buildings. Shops, cafés and offices here still need to see who comes through the door, but a row of bulky white cameras on a Georgian façade is the wrong answer. We use compact dome and turret cameras, run cables internally wherever possible and keep anything on the outside of the building to a minimum. If consent might be needed, we tell you at the survey so it can be checked with the council before work starts.
Commuters on the Waterloo line, families in Hale, Weybourne and Badshot Lea, and landlords letting rooms to students at the University for the Creative Arts all want slightly different things. For a family home, that usually means 4K cameras on the drive and garden with alerts sent to your phone. For shared houses and HMOs, door entry in Farnham tends to be a video panel on the front door with fob access, so tenants can change over each summer without anyone swapping locks.
South of the town, properties get bigger and further apart. Around Frensham, Tilford, Rowledge and Lower Bourne we often work on houses with long drives, detached garages, workshops and equestrian buildings. These sites call for a different plan:
We fit electric gates in Farnham as a Gatesafe registered installer (#2187), with photocells and safety edges on every system.
Shops in Lion and Lamb Yard and the streets around it usually need cameras over the till and entrance. On Farnham Trading Estate the focus shifts to yard cameras, vehicle barriers and controlled staff entrances. Access control in Farnham is typically Paxton Net2, managed from a PC on site, or Paxton10, which runs from a web browser or app. Both let you add or cancel fobs in seconds and check who went where.
We also cover Camberley and Frimley, a short run up the A331, so if your business has a second site there we can look after both. Our SafeContractor approval covers the health and safety checks that many larger sites ask contractors for.

FAQs
In most cases, yes. On streets such as Castle Street and West Street we keep cameras small, fix into mortar joints rather than the brick or stone face where we can, and run cables inside the building. If listed building consent could be needed, we say so at the survey so you can check with the council's planning team first.
We use long-range cameras with infrared at the gate and along the drive, then link garages, stables or workshops back to one recorder in the house. The survey is where we plan cable routes and camera positions, so you only pay for the coverage you need.
Yes. Camberley and Frimley are a short drive from Farnham, and we work with homes and businesses across GU15 and GU16 on the same basis: a free survey and an itemised written quote. Call 01293 862865 to book a visit.
For shared houses let to students, a video entry panel on the front door combined with Paxton fobs works well. When tenants change at the end of the year you cancel the old fobs and issue new ones, with no locks to replace.
Yes. As well as the town itself, we work across the GU9 and GU10 villages, including Wrecclesham, Lower Bourne, Badshot Lea, Tongham and Seale, and Elstead in GU8.
